The beautiful city of Badalona can be found in the eastern part of Catalonia, on the left bank of the River Besos and near the Mediterranean Sea. In the back, it is surrounded by the Sierra de la Marina Mountains, which gives the town a gorgeous view. In Catalonia, Badalona is considered to be the third most populous city. It officially became a city back in 1897, constantly transforming ever since. The urbanization process continues even in present times, as the city morphs into a more modern settlement. Like many other cities in Spain, Badalona was also formed by the Romans, in the 3rd century BC, which contributed to a rich history of the place.
